Dual Nature of Logic Gates Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India

Product Code : SCL-EELE-12731

Indian Lab Suppliers supplies the Dual Nature of Logic Gates (Product ID: 12731) as part of its electronics engineering lab equipment range. It verifies the duality of logic gates by comparing truth tables of AND/OR and NAND/NOR pairs.

Quick Answer

Duality means that swapping AND with OR (and 0 with 1) turns one valid Boolean expression into another; in negative logic an AND gate behaves as an OR gate and a NAND as a NOR. The board carries quad 2-input OR, AND, NAND and NOR gate ICs plus a hex inverter, with SPDT switches for inputs and LEDs for outputs. Students also build a combinational function, practise with Boolean variables and fill in truth tables. A 5 V DC, 200 mA regulated supply is built in, powered from 230 V ±10%, 50 Hz mains.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is meant by the dual of a gate?
The gate obtained by swapping AND and OR operations and inverting the logic levels, e.g. AND and OR, NAND and NOR.

Which gate ICs are fitted?
Quad 2-input OR, AND, NAND and NOR gates and a hex inverter.

Does it need extra apparatus?
No, the supply, switches and LEDs are built in.
