The apparatus features a transparent
operating area for full visual observation of water flow, impeller motion,
and adjustable guide vanes during operation. The band brake loading system
allows precise measurement of turbine torque and performance under varying
loads.
By adjusting the guide vanes, users can
control the angle of attack and turbine power output, enabling detailed
analysis of performance curves such as torque, power, and efficiency.
The system is designed for use with the HM
150 Base Module, which supplies water and enables flow measurement. The
turbine can also be operated from a laboratory water supply.
