Rainfall Hydrographs Demo (1.2m x .8m x .2m) Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : SCL-CELE-14177
Overview
The Rainfall Hydrographs Demonstrator
is a self-contained educational system designed to simulate and analyze rainfall-runoff
relationships under controlled laboratory conditions. The unit enables
students to obtain catchment rainfall and runoff hydrographs as
functions of time, providing direct visualization and measurement of
hydrological processes.
The apparatus consists of a rectangular
tank representing a catchment area, which can be filled with gravel or
soil media to simulate permeable and impermeable surfaces. Rainfall is
simulated by two overhead spray nozzles, which deliver uniform
precipitation over the tank area. The water flow rate is precisely regulated
through a flow control valve and measured using an inline flowmeter.
Runoff from the catchment is collected in a motor-driven
traversing vessel fitted with seventeen storage compartments, which
moves automatically beneath the outlet. The collection pattern forms an
immediate histogram of runoff versus time, allowing the construction of
hydrographs. The traversing vessel and timing mechanism are electronically
controlled via an integrated control console.
Transparent side curtains prevent water
spillage while ensuring clear visualization of the experiment.
A detailed Operation & Maintenance Manual is supplied with the
trainer.
